ACRES SCHOOL OF REAL ESTATE - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Enrollment Policy:


Acres School of Real Estate is open to the general public and is licensed by the  New Jersey Real Estate Commission, Department of Banking and Insurance to conduct salespersons and broker salesperson pre-licensing courses. All of our courses are self-paced online, ARELLO certified and our relationships with vendors enable us to provide NJ Pre-Licensing courses at discounted rates. 


Applicants Must Meet The Following Requirements:


1. Be at least 18 years of age.

2. Have access to internet compatible devices.

3. Possess base-level computer skills: ability to read text on screens, click through course material, and take exams online. 

4. Pay appropriate fees. 


Students may register for all of our courses online or by calling (201) 777-1801.


Payment Policy


Full payment is required for courses prior to enrollment. Courses are delivered through a secure Learning Management System and students are emailed login access upon payment via email.


Acres School of Real Estate accepts most forms of online payment. 


Refund Policy


Acres School of Real Estate is committed to student satisfaction. If you've any questions of whether or not you qualify for our online courses please make sure to read our FAQ section or call (201) 777-1801. 


A student may request a refund in writing prior to starting of a course if they believe they don't meet the qualifications to take a course. Written notice must be received by the school up to 48 hours after purchase date. 


Once a student begins a course, no refunds will be issued. However, if the school cancels a class, the student will receive a full and prompt refund. We will make every effort to provide the most current qualifying questionnaire prior to registration and you can always check our FAQ section for the most current requirements. 


Acres School of Real Estate does not offer price adjustments on previously purchased courses or textbooks. 


Repurchase Policy:


If your course has fully expired, you may repurchase the course at fifty percent (50%) off of the current retail price one (1) time. This option is only available for thirty (30) days after the full expiration date of the course. If your course expires a second time, you will have to repurchase the course at full price. 


Financial Aid:


Financial aid is not available for any courses. Due to our established relationships with vendors and in-house programmers, we pass along our discounts and competitive pricing to our students.


Technical System Requirements:


Acres School of Real Estate courses are delivered through a secure Learning Management System. An internet connection is required (high speed is recommended, but not required).


Online Self-Paced NJ Salesperson Course:


Tuition is due in full prior to scheduled start date.  Any student who determines that they may not be eligible for licensure, due to their anticipated response to any of the Real Estate Commission's qualifying questionnaire should review our FAQ section and reach out to the Acres prior to registration.  Students will have 6 months to complete their course upon registration. 


Online Self-Paced NJ Broker Salesperson Course(s):


Tuition is due in full prior to scheduled start date.  Any student who determines that they may not be eligible for licensure, due to their anticipated response to any of the Real Estate Commission's qualifying questionnaire should review our FAQ section and reach out to the Acres prior to registration.  Students will have 12 months to complete their course upon registration. 


Textbooks & Electronic Textbooks:


All textbooks and e-textbooks purchased through our bookstore are non-refundable. As an authorized Dearborn vendor, we pass our cost savings directly to our students. Because of our competitive pricing, Dearborn materials may occasionally sell out, but please note that all courses can still be completed without a textbook. 


If textbooks or e-textbooks are currently sold out, please contact us to be added to our notification list and we will alert you as soon as they are back in stock. 


Certificate of Course Completion:


To obtain a Certificate of Course Completion, all students must receive a passing grade on the 

final examination of at least 70% and fill out a NJ Sate PSI Registration Form.  A student may take the final exam unlimited times. In the event the certificate is lost, a duplicate may be obtained from the school by request.


Course Reporting:


If your course completion is required to be reported to a regulatory agency, please allow a minimum of three (3) business days for the school to report your course completion.


Course Delivery Methods:


Acres School of Real Estate courses are delivered asynchronously allowing students to learn at their own pace online and access the courses 24/7/365. 


Student Behavior & Disciplinary Policies:


Students must complete all coursework independently. Sharing login credentials or allowing another individual to access your student account is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the course without a refund and permanent ineligibility to enroll in future courses at Acres School of Real Estate.


To help protect your personal data and maintain the integrity of our courses, students must keep their login credentials confidential and may not provide access to their account to any third party for any reason.


Privacy Policy:


Your privacy is important to us. It is our policy not to share your information with 3rd party vendors. Your information will solely be used for the purpose of your real estate education and preparation for your licensing   exam.


Student Records:


Student files are retained for the minimum time required by state regulations. Online student files are maintained online in our cloud-based servers, and paper files are held at our  corporate office.


Student records may be requested in writing by the student at any time. Student records are confidential. No records will be made available to prospective employers, family members, or other schools unless a written request has been made by the student.


Accessibility & Disability Accommodation Policy


Any individual who has a physical or mental impairment or limitation described as a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and requires any special accommodation, must contact the school before enrolling. Certain accommodations require the New Jersey Real Estate Commission's advance approval before courses start. 


Criminal History:


A criminal history may make you ineligible for the license you are seeking. For questions or information, please contact the New Jersey Real Estate Commission.


Discrimination and Conduct Policy:


Acres School of Real Estate does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity and/or expression, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in the establishment of fees, entrance qualifications, or standards for successful completion of any course. 


License Information: 


It is the responsibility of the student to provide Acres School of Real Estate with the student's correct and complete license number and any and all required information (legal name, date of birth, etc.) on record with the entity that issues the student's license. Acres School of Real Estate will not be responsible or liable for any disciplinary action by any regulatory entity including, but not limited to, a course not being reported on time or late/reinstatement fees or changes in license status to the licensee as a result of incorrect license information provided by the student. 


Marketing:


By using the Website in any fashion, unless you opt out, you agree that Acres School of Real Estate may market to you. Accordingly, should you not want to be marketed to, please opt out of any marketing campaign sent to you.


Media Release


By submitting or providing any content (including images, video, audio, testimonials, or quotes), you grant Acres School of Real Estate a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, edit, and share such content for any purpose, including advertising and promotion, without compensation. You confirm you have rights to the content and waive any claims related to its use. 


Disclosures


Acres School of Real Estate makes no representations except as expressly set forth in this policy, and under no circumstances does Acres School of Real Estate make any claim, promise, or guarantee for employment or state licensure.


Acres School of Real Estate reserves the right to change courses, start dates, tuition, and to cancel courses. Any changes will be made in accordance with state rules and regulations. 


The information contained in this policy is true and correct to the best of Acres School of Real Estate's knowledge.


Acknowledgement:


I agree to these terms and conditions including, but not limited to the terms of any applicable enrollment agreement, refund policy, privacy policy, waiver, release, or any other school policy. By beginning a course, I acknowledge that I am agreeing to Acres School of Real Estate terms and conditions and all other school policies. I also consent to electronic delivery of information from Acres School of Real Estate.
